Birth Trauma and Birth Planning
EMDR is a well-researched, highly effective intervention that helps resolve distress linked to memories and fears around birth. My therapy is always embedded in a compassionate and validating approach where your experience is centred. If you are hapu, we can also work together on a trauma-informed birth plan to share with your maternity care team.
Getting Unstuck
Perhaps it’s managing a demanding work-life balance, or relationship stress, or wanting to understand why you repeat certain patterns despite the negative outcomes. I will walk you through your story to get a clear understanding of how and why you are stuck, and then support you to set clear therapeutic goals to guide our work together. Depending on what is needed, I may use Cognitive Analytic Therapy, and/or draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion-Focused Therapy. My mahi is always trauma-informed and healing-centred.
Parenting in the Early Years
The transition to parenthood can be challenging, and stir up our own past experiences. I offer a compassionate approach to understanding our own histories, and learning the building blocks for secure attachment and connected parenting in the first 2000 days.
Professional Supervision
I offer specialist support to people who are passionate about their mahi, but also are aware of the personal impacts of working in challenging settings. Using a contextual, trauma-aware approach, my supervision offers a space to pause, reflect, and observe your experience to allow for clarity and clear action steps that enhance your effectiveness and sense of fulfilment.
